Atirampattinam Railway Station, also spelt Adirampattinam Railway Station, is located close to the coast of Bay of Bengal. The station falls on the Tiruturaipdi-Karaikudi rail route. Tambaram-Rameswaram Express and Sethu Express are the main train connections. Local trains between Mayiladuthurai and Karaikudi (Karaikudi-Mayiladuthurai Passenger) also pass through this station.
