Hilley




Hilley is a picturesque spot lying at an altitude of 2,700 m and situated 77 km from Namchi in West Sikkim District. It is one of the entry points to the Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary. Hilley nestles among lush forest of pines, firs and rhododendron. Varshey, one of the best birding sites in West Sikkim District, lies four km from Hilley. It offers spectacular views of the Kanchenjunga. Sombaria, Dentam, Jorethang and Soreng are nearby places of interest.

The nearest airport is at Bagdogra in West Bengal. The nearest railway station is at New Jalpaiguri. It is connected by road to Darjeeling (79 km), Kalimpong and Namchi.
