Ramdevra Temple




Ramdevra Temple is located at Ramdevra village in Jaisalmer District, about 12 km north of Pokhran. The temple is dedicated to saint Baba Ram Dev who took Samadhi in 1458. It was built in 1931 by Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner around the Samadhi.

Main offerings at Ramdevra Temple include rice, coconuts, churma and wooden horses (toys). An annual festival is organized here during the months of August and September, which is attended by thousands of devotees from far and near, irrespective of their caste, creed or religious affiliations. Nightlong singing of bhajans and kirtans are also organized by theses groups to pay homage to Baba.

Jaisalmer is around 90 km west of Pokhran.
