Trimurti

Trimurti, meaning "three forms" refers to the Hindu trinity of gods, Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva or Maheshwar. Brahma creates, Vishnu preserves, and Shiva destroys. Trimurti is usually depicted as a figure with three heads. However, Trimurti - as a cult- is not worshipped nowadays. Instead Vishnu and Shiva are worshipped as separate deities. Brahma, the first of the trinity, is not as popular a deity as Vishnu and Shiva. In fact, there are very few Brahma Temples in the country. One of the most famous depiction of Trimurti can bee seen in the Elephanta Caves near Mumbai.
