Hathi Bhata




Hathi Bhata is a tourist spot located about 22 km from Tonk in Rajasthan. The focal point of the place is a monument of elephant carved out of a huge single stone. It was erected by Ram Nath Slat during the rule of Sawai Ram Singh in 1200 AD, the evidence of which is stated on the right ear of the elephant. The monument also bears the inscription portraying the story of Nal and Damayanti.
