Harballabh Sangeet Sammelan

Harballabh Sangeet Sammelan, a three-day annual festival, is one of the national festivals of music. This festival is held in commemoration of Swami Harballabh - a saint musician. It falls in December and is organized at Devi Talab Mandir, near the Samadhi of the saint Harballabh, in Jalandhar.

Harballabh Sangeet Sammelan strives to promote Indian classical music and serves as a platform for the distinguished musicians to perform their art. The exponents of classical music, both vocalist and instrumentalist, perform on this occasion.

The festival opens with an invocation of Goddess Saraswati or Lord Ganesh. Special pujas are also performed on this occasion. Two days prior to the festival, an open competition is conducted to bring out the best musician in the field of Hindustani Classical Music.
