Khasi Tribe




Khasi is a tribal group inhabiting Meghalaya and Tripura. They are mainly found in Datuchhera of Kailashahar sub-division. The major source of living is betel leaf or pan cultivation. Pass-tea-a is the name of the dance form performed by the tribal group. It is similar to the Noagerem dance of the Khasis of Meghalaya. Only male members will participate in this dance form.
