Loktak Lake

Loktak Lake is situated 48 km from Imphal. It is the largest fresh water lake in North-Eastern India, spreading upto 312 sq km. Much of it falls within the Keibul Lamjao National Park. Little islands named Thanga and Karang in the center of the lake, are attractive features of the lake.
