Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, situated 14 km from the city, is the busiest airport in India. Located in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra, it is a major gateway to international traffic. The airport has more than a runway and the longest is 11,447 ft and lies at an elevation of 36 ft.
