Wardha




Wardha is located in eastern Maharashtra near the Wardha River and is 77 km south-west of Nagpur. Founded in 1866, Wardha is an important center of cotton trade and is the headquarters of Wardha District.

Sevagram Ashram and Vinoba Bhave's Paunar are the major attractions. Sevagram, a model village which symbolizes the teachings of Gandhiji, is nearby.

The nearest airport is Sonegaon Airport. Wardha Junction Railway Station is a major rail junction of Central Railways.
