Harsiddhi Temple was reconstructed during the Maratha period. The fine architectural specimens of the Marathas can be seen on the walls and pillars of the temple. There are two pillars adorned with lamps; the lamps lit during Navratri present a glorious spectacle.
According to Shiva Purana, this is the place where Goddess Sati’s elbow fell while Lord Shiva carried away the burning body of Sati from the sacrificial fire.
