Kuno Wildlife Sanctuary




Kuno Wildlife Sanctuary lies under Vindhya Range and is situated in Sheopur District of Madhya Pradesh. It covers about 1269 sq km of northern tropical deciduous forest.

The sanctuary is inhabited by tiger, leopard, wolf and wild dog, chital, sambar deer, chinkara, nilgai, black buck and four-horned antelopes. Besides, wild pig, common langur, sloth bear, jackal, ratel, civets, mongoose and various species of birds are found.

Best season to visit is from November to March.

Nearest Gwalior Airport at Gwalior. Nearest railheads are at Shivpuri and Gwalior.
