Neemuch (sometimes spelt Nimach) is a small and sleepy town of Neemuch District
and lies on the border of Rajasthan
and Madhya Pradesh
. Surrounded by hillocks on all sides, the town is known for its natural beauty, religious and cultural activities. Indore
is 272 km south-east of Neemuch.
Neemuch has a unique historical importance as it had played a vital role during the 1857 war of independence. Bhadwa Matha Temple, Sukhanand Mahadev, Neel Khant Mahadev and Antri Matha Temple are the important tourist spots.
