Sehore, also spelt as Sihor, is 39 km south-west of
Bhopal. Located near the confluence of the Siwan and Latia rivers, the town is about 1500 ft to 2000 ft from the sea level.
Sehore is a former British cantonment and had served as the headquarters of the British Bhopal Agency. An agricultural trade centre, Sehore has sugar milling, cotton ginning, and handloom weaving industries.
Nearest airport is at Bhopal.
Sehore Railway Station is on the Bhopal-Ratlam line. It lies on Bhopal-Indore highway.
