Udumbanchola is located in Idukki District of Kerala and is a highland region. It is 22 km east of
Painavu and 21 km south of Devikulam.
The place is charmed with granite hills and thick rain-fed sylvan forests. One can find acres of cardamom plantations here. Chaturangapara Mettu (a picnic spot) lies at Chaturangapara near Udumbanchola.
