Lakshmi-Varaha Temple




Lakshmi-Varaha Temple or Sree Varaham Temple, as it is popularly known, is a delightful shrine situated at East Fort, in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The presiding deity is Varaha - an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Goddess Lakshmi can be seen seated beside him. Other deities worshipped here include Lord Ganesh, Lord Krishna, Lord Shiva and Nagaraja. The Altars dedicated to Nagas can be seen on the three corners on the temple complex.

Even though the temple is situated on the heart of the city, the pleasant atmosphere of the temple attracts large number of devotees.

Lakshmi-Varaha Temple is just a kilometer from the Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station. Thiruvananthapuram Central Bus Station is the nearest major bus station.
