Kamukara School of Music

Kamukara School of Music is run by the Kamukara Foundation, an institution established in memory of the famous singer Kamukara Purushothaman. It aims to promote music and allied arts. The school is located near the Peroor Sree Krishna Swamy Temple at Ambalamukku in Thiruvananthapuram.

The school conducts classes in Carnatic vocal, veena, violin, flute, mridangam, tabala, key board and guitar. Drawing and painting classes and dance classes in Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam, Kuchippudi and Keralanadanam are also offered.

Regular buses are available from Thiruvananthapuram to Ambalamukku. Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station and Trivandrum International Airport are the nearest railway station and airport.
