Parumala

Parumala is a village in Pathanamthitta District of Kerala. This small stretch of land lies on the shores of the Pampa River, about 11 km from Thiruvalla.

A prime site here is Parumala Church, where the mortal remains of Mor Gregorios Geevarghese Chathuruthil are preserved. Parumala Perunal (Orma Perunal), the main festival of the church, is held in the month of November.

Aranmula, Kozhencherry, Edanad and Tiruvanmundur are some interesting places close to Parumala.

Thiruvalla Railway Station (11 km away) and Cochin International Airport (about 102 km from Thiruvalla) serve Parumala.
