Kaipuzha Shiva Temple is located on the banks of Achankovil River, in
Pandalam. This shrine was built by the Pandalam Royal Family.
The main Shiva temple in Pandalam is the Mahadevar Kshetram. Due to the difficulty faced by the king to reach this shrine, he invoked Lord Shiva and installed a new idol at Kaipuzha temple.
