Kuzhal

Kuzhal (Horn) is an indigenous wind instrument of Kerala. It is an important ingredient in ‘melams’ like Pancharimelam and Pandimelam.

During melams, instructions for the other instrument players are given by the gestures of Kuzhal players. Kuzhal is significantly used in the art form of ‘Kuzhal pattu’.
