Kowdiar is a picturesque place situated between Vellayambalam-
Peroorkada Road in
Thiruvananthapuram. It is one of the quite residential areas in the city.
The place, famous for the Kowdiar Palace, was the home of the late Maharaja Sree Chithra Thirunal Bala Rama Varma and his family. Raj Bhavan, Trivandrum Tennis Club, Golf Club, Narmada Shopping Complex, Salvation Army Complex and School, Nirmala Bhavan School and
Christ Nagar School are the major landmarks of this area. Mahadevar Temple, a famous temple dedicated to
