Kanhangad, the seat of administration of Hosdurg Taluk, is a major town in the Kasargod District of Kerala. It is about 40 km south of Kasargod.
Places of tourist interest include the fort of Somasekhara Nayak of Ikkeri and
Madiyankulam Durga Temple. Kottancheri Hills, Kottapuram, Kudlu,
Kumbla, Maipady Palace and Madhur Temple are some other spots worth visiting.
