Cheppad




Cheppad is a beautiful village located about 45 km north of Kollam, in Alappuzha District. Main attraction is the Orthodox Syrian Christian Church popularly known as Cheppad Church. Dedicated to St George, this church has porches and portico built in the style of typical Hindu temples. With mural paintings and wood carvings, this church attracts a large number of devotees. Vettikkulangara Bhagavathy Temple, noted for its wooden sculptures, is another attraction at Cheppad.

Kayamkulam Junction Railway Station is the major railhead nearby and the nearest airport is Cochin International Airport.
