Azhimala Shiva Temple

Azhimala Shiva Temple is situated at Chowara, on the shores of the Arabian Sea, in Thiruvananthapuram District. It around 4 km from Vizhinjam and 6 km from Kovalam.

The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. On every Tuesday, large devotees gather here to offer Naranga Vilakku (oil lamp lit on lemon). An annual festival is celebrated during February-March.

Somatheeram Ayurvedic Beach Resort, Aazhimala Beach Resort and Manaltheeram Ayurveda Beach Village are nearby.

Thiruvananthapuram Central Bus Station and Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station provides easy access for the devotees to the temple.
