Somnathpur is a beautiful village located about 33 km east of Mysore, in Karnataka. Major point of attraction here is the ancient Keshava Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. This star-studded temple is an outstanding example of Hoysala style of architecture. The walls of the temple are garnished with exquisite sculptures depicting scenes from Ramayana, Mahabharata and the life and times of the Hoysala kings.
