Kadri




Kadri is an ancient site situated just 5 km from Mangalore Bus Station, in Dakshina Kannada District. It was a renowned pilgrim center during ancient period. Kadri Manjunath Temple, situated at the foot of Kadri Hills, is the major point of attraction. The temple dates back to 1068 AD and is built in the Vijayanagara Style of architecture.

Kadri is also famous for the Kadri Hill Park, the highest and the largest garden in Mangalore. Other tourist attractions include the seven sacred ponds, Shri Yogishwar Mutt and the caves of Pandavas.

Mangalore Junction Railway Station is the nearest railhead. Mangalore Airport serves Kadri.
