Honnavar Port lies at latitude 14°16.30'N and longitude 74°27.10' E at the mouth of
Sharavati River at Honnavar in
Uttara Kannada District. It is encircled by hills, forests and Sharavati River.
Facilities include first stage lighterage wharf, second stage lighterage wharf and transit shed for the storage of cargo imported or exported cargo. The port has a highway connection to hinterland and the Konkan Railway connection.
