Half-moon and Paradise are two small beaches close to
Gokarna in
Uttara Kannada District. They are within a short distance from one another. Although they are small in size, they have facilities for a bit of sunbathing and swimming. Accommodations are not available unless you are adventurous enough to carry a sleeping bag and sleep in the open.
Gokarna is 60 km from the south of
Karwar. It is well connected to other cities and towns by rail and road. The Konkan Railway passes close to Gokarna and stops at Gokarna Road. There are many buses which ply between Gokarna and the station in time to connect with the trains.
