Belekeri Port is 8 km from
Ankola in
Uttara Kannnada District. A minor port during the rule of the British, it is situated at the bay of the River Belekeri.
Belekeri Port has been developed to handle foreign bound cargo. An all weather port, Belekeri caters to the export of iron ore and import of coal/coke for Karnataka. It is equipped with dry stone masonry wharf, transit shed, wharf adjacent to smooth asphalted, mechanical ore loading chutes, electrification of wharf area loading chutes and a Morse signaling cabin near inspection bungalow.
Belekeri Port is situated south of
Karwar Port.
