Bana Thirtha




Bana Thirtha is one among the numerous natural springs at Kutagal. Bana Thirtha means 'arrow spring. and is at the top the hill here. It is in the form of a long crevice in the rock and is about 2 feet wide and 20 feet long.

Legend has it that Lord Rama who was in search of Sita passed through the rocky hills. Being thirsty, he hit an arrow into the rock surface to get water to form the thirtha.
