Karnataka, was founded by Kempe Gowda and was known as 'Bengaluru' (place of baked beans). The fifth largest city in India and the headquarters of
Bangalore District, the city is a perfect blend of natural beauty and man-made marvels. Bangalore, a cosmopolitan city, is the IT capital of India and one of the most industrialized cities in the country. Unlike the other cities of south India, Bangalore has nightlife.
Point of attractions are Vidhana Soudha, Attara Kacheri, Bangalore Palace, Fort and Tipu Sultan palace, Venkatappa Art Gallery, ISKCON Temple, Bull Temple, Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, Aquarium (second largest in the country) and Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium.
