Nawa Kadal

Nava Kadal

Nawa Kadal is one of the nine bridges placed over the Jhelum River in Srinagar. 'Kadal' is a Kashmiri word which means bridge.

It is the sixth wooden bridge in the city. This bridge was constructed in a special way with the projecting horizontal beam fixed at one end only. Due to the decrepit condition of the old bridge, it has now been replaced by a newly constructed bridge. Safa Kadal is nearby.
