Ranbireshwar Temple




Ranbireshwar Temple is an ancient shrine, located on the Shalimar Road near the New Secretariat, in Jammu and Kashmir.

This beautiful temple was built by Maharaja Ranabir Singh in the year 1883. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

The temple has a central lingam, measuring around 8 ft in height. It also enshrines twelve Shivlings of crystal; measuring from 15 cm to 38 cm. Galleries with thousands of Shivlings fixed on stone slabs can be seen in the temple.
