Bijbehara, also spelt Bijbiara, is a holy place in
Anantnag District of
Jammu and Kashmir. It is about 6 km from
Anantnag on the
Srinagar- Anantnag national highway.
This ancient town has many ruins of temples such as Jaya Devi Temple and Shiva Temple. The Thajiwara (Chotta Amar Nath) temple is 2 km away.
It is believed that the annual calendar of Hindus was published by Vijeshour Jantari Karyalia from this place.
