Mindhal Basan Devi Temple is a highly revered shrine situated in
Mindhal Village in
Pangi Valley of
Himachal Pradesh. Known for its exquisite woodcarvings, Mindhal Devi Temple is a great pilgrim center for the Pangwals, who worship the goddess for better crops and fortune.
The annual fair, held in the month of Bhadon, attracts large number of people from all over the valley. Scores of sheep and goat are sacrificed on this occasion as an offering to the deity. It is said that the blood of the sacrificed livestock flows through a hole at the temple door to a pool at the foot of Kulal Village, thus giving it a tinge of red.
