Jukaroo Mela

Jukaroo Mela is celebrated in Pangi Valley of Chamba District in Himachal Pradesh. This mela falls on the new moon of Magh or Phagun after the Shivratri.

It is observed as a day of rejoicing to mark the arrival of spring. In the morning, the people visit the houses of relatives and friends and exchanges sweets. Jukaroo lasts till the people have visited all their relatives.
