Tundah Sanctuary




Tundah Sanctuary is located in Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh and is about 59 km from Chamba.

This high altitude sanctuary is the habitat of Himalayan tahr, Ibex and pheasants. The area also supports a small population of musk deer. It is connected to Kugti Sanctuary in the east.

Other wildlife found here are bear, Himalayan black bear, leopard cat, goral, rhesus macaque, grey shrew, Royle's vole, wolf, common langur, common giant flying squirrel, ibex, Himalayan weasel, long tailed marmot, Himalayan mouse-hare, barking deer, Indian bush rat and jackal.

The sanctuary is around 45 km from Dalhousie. Pathankot Railway Station (184 km) serves as the nearest railhead.
