Chamera Lake

Chamera Lake, a scenic highlight of Chamba District, is 25 km from the famous hill resort of Dalhousie and it is visible from the Chamba-Pathankot highway.

An artificial lake, it is the reservoir of Chamera Hydroelectric Project built over the Ravi River. The road connecting the Chamera Dam goes along the Lake to Bhalei Temple and the famous thick forests of Bhandal valley.

Himachal Pradesh Department of Tourism has set up a water sports sub-center near the lake to encourage water sports activity at the lake. The lake also offers ample opportunities for boating and fishing.
