Anandpur Sahib




Anandpur Sahib is situated on the left bank of the river Sutlej at a distance of nearly 41 km from Rupnagar and 75 km from Chandigarh. It was founded by the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur. It is surrounded by the Shivalik hills in the east and the Sutlej River in the west.

Holla Mohalla is a famous festival celebrated here. The famous Museum of Tegh Bahadur and Shri Dashmesh Academy are also of tourist interest. Takht Keshgarh Sahib, Anandpursaheb, Gurdwara Jindwari Sahib, Gurdwara Sisganj Sahib and Gurdwara Qila Anandgarh Sahib are some of the gurdwaras located here.
