Tarnetar Mela (Tarnetar Fair) is held at
Tarnetar in the month of September and the venue of the mela is the Trineteshwar Temple. It is a three day fair celebrated annually.
A colorful event, the mela is organized with the intention to find suitable brides. It is a kind of marriage venue for the local tribals such as Kolis, Bharvads and Rabaris. Folk songs and dances such as garba, ras, hudo and Rasada are the main attraction of the mela. 'Chhatris,' umbrellas decorated with beautiful embroidery and mirror works, is another attraction of the fair. The fair coincides with the temple festival.
