Sardar Patel Museum, originally named as Winchester Museum, is situated at
Surat, in
Gujarat. Established in 1890, the museum exhibits antiquities of wood, metal, stone, ivory, sandalwood, oil paintings, miniatures, terracotta, porcelain, textiles and manuscripts. Philately and exhibition on development projects of Surat city are also on display.
Sardar Patel Museum is open from 11:45 to 13:45 hrs on Tuesday to Saturday and 14:45 to 17:45 hrs on Sunday. The museum remains closed on Monday and public holidays.
