Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport




Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, situated 14 km from the city, is the busiest airport in India. Located in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra, it is a major gateway to international traffic. The airport has more than a runway and the longest is 11,447 ft and lies at an elevation of 36 ft. The airport connects the state to the rest of India and major cities across the world. Around 35 international carriers operate from this airport. Currently the airport handles around 403 flights, 36,000 passengers and 892 tonnes of cargo on an average per day.

Passenger facilities include executive lounges, child care rooms, cyber cafe, duty free shops, medical aid, inter-terminal A/C coach services, pre-paid taxi service, currency exchange counters, railway reservation counter, restaurants and snack bars and tourist information counters.
