Chandor

Chandor is a picturesque village in Goa. It houses a rustic community that indulges in fishing and rice farming for a living. This unassuming small place is situated about 13 km east of Margao. Spotted with tumbledown villas and farm houses, the prime attraction of the place is Perreira-Braganza/ Menezes-Braganza house. It is considered as the grandest of Goa's colonial mansions. The place has an excavation site which yielded several statues of deities. The village is easily approachable by bus from Margao, Colva, Varca, Cavelossim, and Mobor.
