The village of Baga is one of the palm-bedecked coastal hamlets of
North Goa District.
Baga Beach, renowned as a fishing beach, is worth a visit in this village. It is at the northern end of
Calangute Beach. The
Baga River that flows through one end of the beach makes the place picturesque. A river fest, known as 'sangodd', is celebrated here.
