Ugrasen ki Baoli

Ugrasen ki Baoli in Connaught Place is a medieval step-well or Baoli built of rubble and dressed stone. The northern end of the structure is a raised platform. A massive neem tree shades the structure. The center of the well stores water and it is linked to a well dug in a covered platform. It is believed that Ugrasen, also known as Agarsen, had constructed the original baoli. However, the present structure was constructed during the reign of the Lodhi Dynasty. Ugrasen is also considered to be the legendary builder of Agra city. Ugrasen ki Baoli is a fine example of Delhi's unique architecture.
