Mahasamund

Mahasamund is the seat of administration of Mahasamund District inChhattisgarh. It is located about 80 km east of the state capital, Raipur.

Khallarimatha temple, Bamhini Village, Daldali and Chandi Temple of Birkoni are some religious spots worth visiting around. The ancient city of Sirpur is 30 km to the north. Raipur Airport serves Mahasamund. Mahasamund Railway Station is on the Raipur – Visakhapatnam railway line of the South Eastern Railways.
