Chanakya, alias Kautilya, was a clever and determined person. Versatile in the Shastras or branch of knowledges, he served as the prime minister of the Emperor Chandragupta.
Arthashastra, the first written work dealing formally and systematically on the systems and analysis of government policies, was created by Chanakya. The work is famous and is being reverently followed in Europe and elsewhere.
