The headquarters of
Bongaigaon District in
Assam, Bongaigaon is situated around 120 km west of Nalbari.
The prime attraction of the town is the Bageswari temple, which is one of the oldest in Assam. In the heart of the town, there is a famous market named Birjhora Bazar.
