Rangapani




Rangapani is a village situated 40 km from Tura in Meghalaya, near Mankachar on the Assam border. Here lies the tomb of the great general Mir-Jumla, the Army General of great Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. He died of malaria while returning from his excursion to the north east. Now it is maintained by the local Muslim Association of the village.
